BCP-A is an international non-governmental organization that champions the values, rights, plights, needs and economic empowerment of all pastoralists in Kenya and Africa continent through combating, preventing and eradicating cattle rustling. It was first registered in 2013 as a Kaporion CBO which was majorly based in Baringo. In June 2016 it was upgraded to Borders community peace-net Africa (BCP-A) which is an international NGO covering 33 counties in Kenya and 18 countries in Africa with its headquarters in Nairobi Kenya.

Our Socio-economic Development Programme aims to empower smallholder businesses, particularly women and youth, to break the cycle of poverty and improve livelihoods within pastoralist communities.
Through initiatives such as capacity-building seminars, livestock boarding schools, and sustainable agriculture practices, we work towards improving food security and nutrition among vulnerable communities.
Our Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Programme focuses on improving health outcomes by providing access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education, thereby reducing waterborne diseases and promoting overall well-being.
BCP-A’s Education, Emergency, and Child Protection Programme aims to ensure access to inclusive and quality education for all children, including those affected by conflicts and crises, thus contributing to SDG 4.
We advocate for women’s participation in peacebuilding and development activities, promoting gender equality and empowering women within pastoralist communities.
Our WASH Programme seeks to ensure access to clean water and sanitation services, contributing directly to SDG 6 by improving water quality and sanitation standards.
By promoting social reconciliation, inter-ethnic harmony, and inclusive development, we work towards reducing inequalities within and between pastoralist communities, contributing to SDG 10.
Through our Climate Change Adaptation Programme, we aim to increase community resilience and adaptive capacity to climate change, contributing to SDG 13 by promoting sustainable agricultural practices and environmental conservation.
Our Peace Building and Governance Programme focuses on reducing ethnic tensions, promoting harmony, and establishing alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, thus contributing to SDG 16 by fostering peaceful and inclusive societies.
